Third seed Oksana Kalashnikova/Aliaksandra Sasnovich broke Julia Lohoff/Conny Perrin four times in all to progress to the women’s doubles semis with a 7-5 6-2 win.

Martina Trevisan broke No. 3 seed Elise Mertens six times to prevail in their quarterfinal clash 6-4 6-3. Trevisan: “It was a tough match, so I’m happy with the win. I lost to Elise easily earlier this season, but I was ready to fight. The important thing is that I’m here still. Very happy to be in Hong Kong for the first time and into my first semifinal this season.”
Anna Blinkova following her 7-6(3) 6-3 quarterfinal win against Sara Sorribes Tormo: “Today was a tough match. She is a very difficult opponent to play against and I really had to go for it to win the points.”
